Universal Search
- EasiShare universal search is here, finding your files is now easier and faster! When you are not sure which drive your file is in, you can now search for your file in the universal search bar on EasiShare Web. Type in a keyword or the file title in the search bar and EasiShare will look for the file among all your drives at once.
Document Tagging
- You can now tag your files on EasiShare Web! You can create tag values in EasiShare Central Admin Portal and assign a policy to a tag value. This way, policy restrictions would be enforced on the file upon tagging. For example, if “confidential” tag has the policy tied to it that’s restricting the user from external sharing, EasiShare would then prevent files from being shared out unless the user removes the tag. Additionally, you can also enter the tag value in the search bar to find a file.

Edit Recipient Details
- Like EasiShare Web, EasiShare Desktop users are now able to edit the name and the mobile number of an external recipient on the share/request file window which helps to maintain a clean database without duplicating contacts. Once the file has been shared or the request has been made, the edited name or mobile number of the external recipient gets updated automatically in the database.

Standardise Drive Sorting
- Drives and managed folders in “Attach as Link” function are now in the same order as desktop and web applications under “Drives” to improve the user experience.

- Admins can easily create personal drives manually for users that do not have a personal drive assigned to them.
Manage Document Tagging
- Admins are now able to create, edit and delete tag category and tag values. They are also able to assign policy to tag values and set tag category to be mandatory or not.

Terms and Conditions for Sharing on Web and Desktop
- To enforce a declaration from the user to accept the Terms and Conditions while sharing a file. The Terms and Condition message can be customized in the Settings of EasiShare Central Admin Portal.

Improve Performance During Sync
- When adding a folder to sync from the windows explorer, the file activity window now offers infinite scroll which helps to reduce the CPU usage. The number of files shown will be kept at 100. Only if the user scrolls down, more files would be shown.
Better Handling of Temporary Files
- To better handle the temporary files generated by Office 365, EasiShare desktop can now detect and avoid uploading them during the sync process from your desktop to EasiShare.
- With the newly added clear temporary file prompt, end users can clear the temporary files held in the server even before the server automatically clears the temporary files that are stuck while transferring the files.
Status Replacement – Same File Content Upload
- Like EasiShare Web, when a file with the same content is uploaded, the status is now changed to ‘Completed*’.

View and Unlock Locked Files
- In order to improve the lives of admins, we’ve added the option to sort and view locked files by Drive instead of viewing locked files by user only.
