NEW Release: EasiShare v12.5
Strengthen Login Security via Certificate-Based Authentication
EasiShare now supports certificate-based user authentication in addition to the standard username and password, providing an extra layer of identity verification at login. This added security mechanism ensures that access is granted only to users with valid digital certificates issued by trusted authorities. By requiring not just something the user knows (a password), but also something the user possesses (a client certificate), the system significantly reduces the risk of credential theft or misuse.
Organisations can further enforce strict validation checks, such as confirming the certificate issuer, verifying that the certificate was issued specifically to the user logging in, and matching its digital fingerprint. These measures protect against spoofed identities and unauthorised access attempts, particularly in high-security environments. The result is a more resilient authentication process that enhances data protection and supports compliance with stringent regulatory requirements.

Tamper-Proof File Retention in Admin Recycle Bin
EasiShare now enables administrators to implement a locked retention period for the Admin Recycle Bin, preventing unauthorised changes that could undermine data retention requirements. Without such controls, there could be risk of premature file deletion leading to potential data loss and non-compliance. During this retention period, files are deleted only after the specified duration, and administrators are restricted from manually deleting files or altering retention settings, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
