Hybrid User Management: Microsoft Entra ID and EasiShare Local Users

In v12.3, we introduced Microsoft Entra ID integration to automate user creation and deactivation based on Entra ID Groups, streamlining user management for administrators. However, this also meant that users not found in selected Entra ID Groups were automatically deactivated. To support hybrid use cases, customers requested the ability to maintain both Entra ID-synced and EasiShare local users.

With v12.4, EasiShare now offers the option to support the concurrent usage of Entra ID-synced users and manually created EasiShare local users. This enhancement gives organisations greater control over their user management, allowing them to maintain both types of accounts while ensuring flexibility, efficiency, and security.

Expanded Storage Connectivity with New Partners

In v12.4, we have expanded EasiShare’s storage connector ecosystem by adding new partners and including their product names for greater clarity. This update makes it easier for organisations to integrate their preferred storage solutions, with connectors now clearly identified by their respective partner products. Users can seamlessly store, access, and manage files across a broader range of storage providers. Some highlights of our partners:

EasiShare Windows Desktop

  • Improved compatibility: The Desktop app now supports more SSO providers by enabling SSO login through a browser, rather than relying on the system default.

  • Improved performance: The Desktop app is now more responsive and optimised for lower resource consumption at runtime.
